I am tired of you telling me what I ought to do Stickin' your nose in my business and it don't concern you It's my own business, it's my own business Seems like the ones that want to tell you They don't ever know as much as you If I go buy a Cadillac convertible coupe And all I got at home to eat is just onion soup It's my own business, it's my own business If I would rather ride around In my own Cadillac convertible coupe If I's a dignatary on Capitol Hill And up and married me a waitress in a hot dog grill It's my own business, it's my own business Because I am not a juvenile And I can go out at my own free will After workin' on my job and then drawin' my pay If I want to go out and have a ball and throw it all away It's my own business, it's my own business 'Cause I don't wait until tomorrow To do something I could do today 'Cause I don't wait until tomorrow To do something I could do today 'Cause I don't wait until tomorrow To do something I could do today 'Cause I don't wait until tomorrow To do something I could do today

Carol 03:26
Oh Carol, don't let him steal your heart away I'm gonna learn to dance if it takes me all night and day Climb into my machine so we can cruise on out I know a swingin' little joint where we can jump and shout It's not too far back off the highway, not so long a ride You park your car out in the open, you can walk inside A little cutie takes your hat and you can thank her, ma'am Every time you make the scene you find the joint is jammed Oh Carol, don't let him steal your heart away I'm gonna learn to dance if it takes me all night and day Oh Carol, don't let him steal your heart away I'm gonna learn to dance if it takes me all night and day And if you want to hear some music like the boys are playin' Hold tight, pat your foot, don't let 'em carry it away Don't let the heat overcome you when they play so loud Oh, don't the music intrigue you when they get a crowd You can't dance, I know you wish you could I got my eyes on you baby, 'cause you dance so good Oh Carol, don't let him steal your heart away I'm gonna learn to dance if it takes me all night and day I'm gonna learn to dance if it takes me all night and day I'm gonna learn to dance if it takes me all night and day I'm gonna learn to dance if it takes me all night and day

Maybellene 02:43
Maybellene, why can't you be true? Oh, Maybellene, why can't you be true? You done started doing the things you used to do As I was motivatin' over the hill I saw Maybellene in a Coupé de Ville A Cadillac a-rollin on the open road Nothin' will outrun my V-8 Ford The Cadillac doin' 'bout 95 She bumper to bumper, rollin' side by side Maybellene, why can't you be true? Oh, Maybellene, why can't you be true? You done started back doin' the things you used to do The Cadillac pulled up at 104 The Ford got hot and wouldn't do no more It done got cloudy and started to rain I tooted my horn for the passin' lane The rain water blowin' all under my hood I knew that wasn't doin' my motor good Maybellene, why can't you be true? Oh, Maybellene, why can't you be true? You done started back doin' the things you used to do Maybellene, why can't you be true? Oh, Maybellene, why can't you be true? You done started back doin' the things you used to do The motor cooled down, the heat went down And that's when I heard that highway sound Cadillac sittin' like toad on a lake A 110, a half mile ahead The Cadillac lookin' like it's sittin' still And I caught Maybellene at the top of the hill Maybellene, why can't you be true? Oh, Maybellene, why can't you be true? You done started back doin' the things you used to do You done started back doin' the things you used to do You done started back doin' the things you used to do.

It was a teenage wedding, and the old folks wished them well You could see that Pierre did truly love the mademoiselle And now the young monsieur and madame have rung the chapel bell "C'est la vie", say the old folks, it goes to show you never can tell They furnished off an apartment with a two room Roebuck sale The coolerator was crammed with TV dinners and ginger ale But when Pierre found work, the little money comin' worked out well "C'est la vie", say the old folks, it goes to show you never can tell They had a hi-fi phono, boy, did they let it blast Seven hundred little records, all rock, rhythm and jazz But when the sun went down, the rapid tempo of the music fell "C'est la vie", say the old folks, it goes to show you never can tell They bought a souped-up jitney, 'twas a cherry red '53 They drove it down to Orleans to celebrate the anniversary It was there that Pierre was married to the lovely mademoiselle "C'est la vie", say the old folks, it goes to show you never can tell It was a teenage wedding, and the old folks wished them well You could see that Pierre did truly love the mademoiselle And now the young monsieur and madame have rung the chapel bell "C'est la vie", say the old folks, it goes to show you never can tell It was a teenage wedding, and the old folks wished them well You could see that Pierre did truly love the mademoiselle And now the young monsieur and madame have rung the chapel bell "C'est la vie", say the old folks, it goes to show you never can tell

When I see those big brown eyes is when I take my queue It don't take me but a few minutes to get a message through I talked to you, and you talked to me and we talked to one another It don't take us but a few minutes to understand each other If I was twenty-three years old and you were twenty-two I bet no one would try to run our lives the way they do We take a chance and try romance, be true to one another It don't take us but a few minutes, when we want each other If I was in San Diego and you were in Portland, Maine I'd fly to you lock, stock and bone in hail and pouring rain Over the mountains, through the valleys, coming home to each other It don't take us but a few minutes to get to one another You would write a love song and play on my guitar And if you should, in Hollywood, become a movie star Would you let your heart forget, I loved you and you only It don't take but a few minutes, when you're feeling lonely When I see those big brown eyes is when I take my queue It don't take me but a few minutes to get a message through I talked to you, and you talked to me and we talked to one another It don't take us but a few minutes to understand each other

I got lumps in my throat When I saw her comin' down the aisle I got the wiggles in my knees When she looked at me and sweetly smiled There she is again Standin' over by the record machine Looking like a model On the cover of a magazine She's too cute to be a minute over 17 Meanwhile, I was thinkin' She's in the mood, no need to break it I got the chance, I oughta take it She'll dance, and we can make it Come on queenie, let's shake it Go, go, go, little queenie Go, go, go, little queenie Go, go, go, little queenie Tell me who's the queen Standin' over by the record machine Looking like a model On the cover of a magazine She's too cute to be a minute over 17 Meanwhile, I was still thinkin' If it's a slow song, we'll omit it If it's a rocker, then I'll get it And if it's good, she'll admit it Come on queenie, let's get with it Go, go, go, little queenie Go, go, go, little queenie Go, go, go, little queenie Go, go, go, little queenie Go, go, go, little queenie Go, go, go, little queenie

Deep down in Louisiana close to New Orleans Way back up in the woods among the evergreens There stood a log cabin made of earth and wood Where lived a country boy named Johnny B. Goode Who never ever learned to read or write so well But he could play a guitar just like a-ringin' a bell Go go Go Johnny go go Go Johnny go go Go Johnny go go Go Johnny go go Johnny B. Goode He used to carry his guitar in a gunny sack Go sit beneath the tree by the railroad track Oh, the engineers would see him sitting in the shade Strumming with the rhythm that the drivers made The people passing by they would stop and say "Oh my what that little country boy could play" Go go Go Johnny go go Go Johnny go go Go Johnny go go Go Johnny go go Johnny B. Goode His mother told him "someday you will be a man And you will be the leader of a big old band Many people coming from miles around To hear you play your music when the sun go down Maybe someday your name will be in lights Saying "Johnny B. Goode tonight" Go go Go Johnny go go Go Johnny go go Go Johnny go go Go Johnny go go Johnny B. Goode Go Go Johnny go go Go Johnny go go Go Johnny go go Go Johnny go go Johnny B. Goode

School Days 02:56
Up in the mornin' and out to school The teacher is teachin' the Golden Rule American history and practical math You studyin' hard and hopin' to pass Workin' your fingers right down to the bone And the guy behind you won't leave you alone Ring, ring goes the bell The cook in the lunch room's ready to sell You're lucky if you can find a seat You're fortunate if you have time to eat Back in the classroom, open your books Keep up the teacher don't know how mean she looks Soon as three o'clock rolls around You finally lay your burden down Close up your books, get out of your seat Down the halls and into the street Up to the corner and 'round the bend Right to the juke joint, you go in Drop the coin right into the slot You're gotta hear somethin' that's really hot With the one you love, you're makin' romance All day long you been wantin' to dance, Feeling the music from head to toe Round and round and round we go Hail, hail rock and roll Deliver me from the days of old Long live rock and roll The beat of the drums, loud and bold Rock, rock, rock and roll The feelin' is there, body and soul Drop the coin right into the slot You're gotta hear somethin' that's really hot With the one you love, you're makin' romance All day long you been wantin' to dance, Feeling the music from head to toe Round and round and round you go !

about

Twelve of my favorite songs that Chuck sang and played. Chuck is a great master of Blues and Rock 'n Roll music. He influenced many other famous musicians. His legacy is so huge. I would like to make him a tribute by revisiting some of the songs he played and sang and that I love.
